Dune Planting
On March 9, Charlie Nicolas, Rose and Charlie Kohler, Jean Kohler, and Joan and Jim McGuire of Paumanok Chapter’s South Bay LMC helped plant dune grass at Tobay Beach, LI, NY, to protect the beach from erosion. “We have been doing this for the past 15 years, said Marge Koehler. “It costs us nothing — just a little time and energy. The Town of Oyster Bay appreciates our help so much they provide us with clam chowder afterwards.”

Easter Party
On April 9, Hank and Marge Koehler of the South Bay Life Member Club attended an Easter Party at the Marine Base in Garden City L.I., N.Y., where the Paumanok Chapter donated 86 Easter baskets for the dependent children. The children and parents were very grateful for the generous donation.
